Book Number 173 – Sassy Baby’s Day
A nice way to talk about schedules with babies. Good variety of textures.
Book Number 149 – Roar! Roar! by Dawn Sirett
This was too fun to read before our visit to the zoo. Each animal page had interesting textures to explore. Little N loved roaring and growling along.
Book Number 116 -Baby Touch and Feel Numbers (DK)
Little N enjoyed the textures in the this book. There were several familiar objects/things to count – dogs, cats, fire engines, etc. An easy way to interact!
Book Number 90 – Baby at the Farm by Karen Katz
Lots of textures for baby to explore on the various farm animals. Colorful pictures keep babies engaged.
Book Number 84 – Baby’s World: A First Book of Senses
A simple texture book covering the five senses. Little N enjoyed the variety of textures. Vivid illustrations
Book Number 51 – Beep! Beep! by Dawn Sirett
This touch and feel book and some interesting textures – the sticky mud for example, but still not quite as much variety as I would have liked. However, I think it would be tough to have a lot of variety for transportation vehicles. Little N liked the size of the book – perfect for his little hands.
Book Number 50 – Red Boots by Rosemary Wells
Max has a grand time getting dressed in his older sister’s clothes. The only problem is he doesn’t always put the clothes on the right body part (socks on his ears for example). Raised textures are fun for baby to explore, but the story will reel in the toddlers.
Book Number 49 – One Weighs a Ton by Salina Yoon
Interactive lift the flap touch and feel counting book. The textures are fun for little one, and the animal facts make this story something even older kids will enjoy.
Book Number 48 – Bathtime (DK Baby Touch and Feel)
Teddy gets a bath in this book. I was hoping for more variety in the textures. Some of the objects were more familiar to baby than others.
