Book Number 285 – Picture a Tree
Gorgeous clay pictures help you realize all the different ways you can look at trees.
Book Number 284 – Good Night, Gorilla by Peggy Rathmann
The pictures mainly tell this story – gorilla lets out the zoo animals and they follow the zookeeper home
Book Number 283 – Not a Box by Antoinette Portis
A tale of imagination
Book Number 282 – Read It, Don’t It! by Ian Schoenherr
A fun book about how to care for books
Book Number 281 – I’m Dirty by Kate & Jim McMullan
A day in the life of a backhoe!
Book Number 280 – Clip-Clop by Nicola Smee
Cat and dog and pig and duck all want to go for a ride on Mr. Horse. Lots of fun!
Book Number 279 – Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina
A classic tale of the peddler who briefly loses his hats to some mischievous monkeys. Little N loved this silly story.
Book Number 278 – Whose Hat? by Margaret Miller
A simple guessing game – a picture of hat prompting kids to guess whose hat. The next page shows the answer. The nurse’s hat is a bit dated, but it is interesting how so many hats have stood the test of time!
Book Number 277 R is for Robot by Adam F. Watkins
An extremely subtle but clever alphabet book. Each letter has a robot doing something, and the sound is what goes along with the letter -e.g. beep boop. However, there are subtle objects in the picture that also start with the letter -you really have to think! The more times you read, the more you see!
